The challenge

Optimize the shopping experience of Maggioli Editore books and digital products through a process that would include the restyling of all interfaces, rationalization of existing content, and redesign of the website’s flows. Improve the usability of the e-commerce and maximize the Brand’s revenue in an extremely competitive market.

The Approach

To guide Maggioli’s internal team and stakeholders to the redesign of the e-commerce platform.
Identify issues, opportunities, and insights through the interpretation of data gathered from AS-IS analysis, interviews, and co-design workshops. Redesign the information architecture of the website to make product search easier. Integrate the full Apogeo Editore catalogue to expand the offer.

New design system

A redesign process aimed to exalt the Brand’s visual identity. Realization of a new design system with common navigation patterns to make product search easier and speed up the process of familiarization with the website’s structure and features.
Create a modern and intuitive interface designed to optimize the navigation experience on any device and distinguished by readable colors and fonts to improve the usability of services and features.

Simplified experience

Reduction of users’ cognitive burden through the simplification of navigation flows and interactions. A complete map of product categories and editorial services offered to Public Administrations, immediately visible in the navigation menu. Optimization of the conversion funnel and reduction of checkout steps to guide the user through the purchase process.
